Coded Targets |
 Coded targets are needed for automated photogrammetric processing. The targets can both be arranged on a test field, for automated calibration or on any object to be used as control or reference points. Each of the targets carry a unique identifier encoded in a ring around the circular center. The circular center is used to easily measure the position of the target. Using a weighted centroid algorithm the position is estimated to sub pixel accuracy. The code is read along a ellipsoid path around the center. The gray values are arranged in a two dimensional plot. The peaks and valleys are binarized and can be interpret ed as ones and zeros of a binary code.
